Job Summary
Elk Range is seeking a skilled Division Order Analyst to join our mineral management team. This role involves analyzing and managing division orders, lease agreements, and ownership interests for our oil and gas assets. The ideal candidate will have expertise in title examination, revenue distribution, and lease administration.
Key Responsibilities
Execute and verify division orders, ensuring accuracy in ownership calculations.
Review title documents, maintaining accurate records based on title opinions, conveyances, probate documents, and other legal instruments.
Identify and resolve discrepancies in revenue payments related to interest ownership.
Communicate with operators and royalty owners to confirm ownership details.
Interpret, review, and manage oil and gas leases, assignments, and contracts.
Ensure compliance with lease terms, including shut-in payments, rental payments, and critical clauses (e.g., Pugh clauses, depth severances).
Track lease expirations, extensions, renewals, and obligations.
Collaborate with land, legal, and accounting teams to meet lease obligations.
Maintain organized records to support audits and company filings.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Energy Management, Business, Law, or a related field (preferred).
3+ years of experience in division order analysis, lease administration, or a related role in the oil and gas industry.
Strong knowledge of oil and gas lease terms, division orders, and mineral ownership.
Experience with title examination, curative work, and regulatory compliance.
Proficiency in land management and accounting software (e.g., MineralSoft, DrillingInfo, EnergyLink).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to interpret legal documents, contracts, and conveyances accurately.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
Membership with NADOA, NALTA, or local industry organizations.
Experience working with a mineral rights company, landowner, or operator.
Knowledge of revenue distribution and oil and gas accounting principles.
